The Challenge
Most marketing theory sounds straightforward until real money is involved. I wanted a way to develop practical performance marketing skills beyond the classroom by testing campaigns, creatives, and audiences in live market conditions where results could be measured immediately.
The Solution
Using ecommerce as a testing ground, I built and marketed multiple online stores while managing customer acquisition myself. I created content, worked with influencers, edited video ads, and ran campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat. Every product launch became an opportunity to test new creative approaches, audience targeting strategies, landing pages, and conversion tactics.
The Result
The project gave me hands-on experience managing paid media (my own money) and analysing what drives performance. Through continuous testing, I developed a deeper understanding of creative strategy, consumer behaviour, content trends, and what makes ads actually convert. More importantly, it trained me to always make marketing decisions based on data and results rather than assumptions.
